A Salute to our American War Heroes In 2006, on two different occasions, I met mothers of active-duty servicemen in Iraq.  Both were drawn to my 'Patriotic Star' quilt, and both decided to purchase one as a tribute to their sons.  Their stories touched me deeply, and I was honored to be a part of their tribute.

To further honor them and all who have sacrificed on our behalf, I have decided to donate one-third of all proceeds from the sale of my 'Patriotic Star' quilt, starting in 2007, to the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes.  Their mission is to help the severely wounded and disabled Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans and their families rebuild their lives.  For more information about this organization, go to www.saluteheroes.org.  To see and learn more about the 'Patriotic Star' quilt, click here.
