I designed this quilt by imagining some of my favorite things to see on a bright Summer day when looking out my window.  I don't think anything can top the sight of a beautiful bird, a favorite tree and a colorful flower on a bright sunny day.  This quilt captures that simple pleasure.

Every time Spring is just around the corner, I'm always motivated to design a new Spring celebration piece.  This year I decided I would design a new flower.  This quilt features three of my new flowers in a pretty little flower pot.   to me, they really are "simple joys".

Although tedious to make, I just love the Bear's Paw block.  In this design, I reduced the block size and made an arrangement of four Bear's Paw blocks set on-point.  While arranging the finished blocks, I decided to add a simple Tree block in the middle of the design.   I think the combination nicely captures that exciting discovery of bears' tracks in the woods.

When the air turns cooler and the winds begin to blow, the Fall leaves seem to just "dance" in the air.  I designed this quilt to capture that blissful sight of colorful falling leaves, signaling yet another change in seasons.

Farm animals are always popular folkart subjects.  One of my favorites is the sheep, both black ones and white ones.  When I designed this piece, I wanted my Woolly Sheep to be a distinguished barnyard animal proudly sporting a colorful quilt blanket.   I plan to vary the sheep's color and blanket pattern on other versions of this design.

One of Pennsylvania's most anticipated Autumn sights is the colorful pumpkin patch.  Farm stands far and near proudly display their abundant harvest of pumpkins in every size, shape and color.  It's my favorite time of year and my most treasured sign of Autumn.

I can never seem to get enough of quilts featuring trees.  This design is actually the same little tree that I use in my "Christmas Tree" quilt, but I've eliminated the Christmas accents (hand quilted garland with a star on top).  Instead, I finished the piece with standard outline quilting and accented the quilt corners with tiny buttons, making it a little tree quilt for all seasons.
